What information do we collect?

We collect your first and last name and email address when you sign up as a subscriber or member for our newsletters through Stripe. We will also collect your email address and any information that you provide if you choose to contact us, such as if you submit feedback.

Payment details and information are collected, processed, and handled by the third party 'Stripe.' These payment details are the ones you provide when you fill out your payment details when paying for a membership for Bare Science.

We receive transaction information when you make a purchase using the services. We collect information about the transaction, such as the purchase amount, the service purchased, and the date of purchase.

Stripe has its main headquarters in San Francisco, California, and Dublin, Ireland, as well as other locations around the world. We do not control where and how they use your personal information. It is suggested to read their privacy policy and terms and conditions.

All information collected on the website, as mentioned in this privacy policy, may also be collected and viewed by "Ghost," the website provider and builder for Bare Science. It is suggested to read the "Ghost" privacy policy and terms and conditions.

Personal information you automatically provide when you use the Services:

  • Bare Science may collect information that your browser or device automatically sends us when you interact with the Services, such as your IP address, your browser type and settings, and the date and time of your interaction with the Services. Bare Science may also use the information we collect to comply with the law and to maintain the security of the Site. Finally, we may use the information we collect with your consent or as otherwise disclosed at the time information is collected.

Stripe only uses your payment information to complete the purchases of membership and any other services that you have chosen to purchase from Bare Science.

We may share the information we collect with other parties, including the following:

  • With third-party service providers who process data on our behalf, such as email service providers and payment methods like "Stripe".
  • Under a subpoena, court order, governmental enquiry, or other legal process, or as otherwise required by law, or to protect our rights or the rights of third parties; and

  • We may share information that has been de-identified or aggregated without limitation.
  • Share Information on how many overall visitors, subscribers, and memberships the website receives without identifying any individuals or groups.

The website may provide a link to a 'third-party' website or apps. We do not control the privacy practices of those websites or apps, and they are not covered by this Privacy Policy. You should review the privacy policies of other websites or apps that you use to learn about their data practices.

The Site also includes integrated email newsletter tools and integrated social media tools, or "plug-ins," that are offered by third parties. For European Users

For users in the European Union ("EU"), we adhere to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (the "GDPR"). For users in the United Kingdom, we adhere to the GDPR as enshrined in the Data Protection Act 2018.

Bare Science has not appointed a Data Protection Officer as we do not fall within the categories of controllers and processors required to appoint a Data Protection Officer under Article 37 of the GDPR.

Bare Science collects and processes personal data about users in the EU only when we have a legal basis for doing so under Article 6 of the GDPR.

Bare Science relies on the following legal basis to collect and process the personal data of users in the EU:

This section contains disclosures required by the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and applies only to "personal information" that is subject to the CCPA.

Personal Information Bare Science collect. In the preceding 12 months, we collected the following categories of personal information about California consumers:

  • Internet or other electronic network activity information (such as interactions with a website, email, application, or advertisement); and
  • Personal and online identifiers (such as first and last name, email address, or unique online identifiers).
  • Payment information is processed and handled through the third-party 'Stripe'.
  • Bare Science will receive information about the payment, the purchased amount, and the date of purchase.

Categories of Personal Information We Sell. Under the CCPA's definition of a "sale," we treat certain disclosures of online identifiers and/or Internet or other electronic network activity information to third-party advertising, marketing, and analytics providers as "sales." We do not sell names or email addresses we collect to third parties for their purposes. Finally, we do not have actual knowledge that we sell information about minors under 16 years of age.

Categories of Personal Information We Disclose for a Business Purpose. We disclose each category of personal information we collect to our service providers and to government agencies (as described above).

Children

Bare Science does not knowingly collect or use personal information from children under 16 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 16 years of age, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. If a child under 16 years of age has provided us with personal data, their parent or guardian may contact us at info@baresciences.com.

Retention of Information

We keep your Personal Information for the time necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. The length of time for which we retain Personal Information depends on the purposes for which we collected and use it and your choices, after which time we may delete and/or aggregate it. We may also retain and use Personal Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Other Disclosures

We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

  1. The overall website visitors, subscribers, and membership numbers may be shared with other parties. However, no personal information or any identifying information will be included, purely overall numbers.
  2. If the law requires it.
  3. If it is required for any legal proceeding.

  5. To buyers or potential buyers of this business, if the sole trader seeks to sell the business.
